This Privacy Policy explains how Defense Politics Asia ("DPA", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use DPA Intel (intel.defensepoliticsasia.com).

1. Who We Are

Defense Politics Asia (DPA) is a geopolitical intelligence media company operating DPA Intel as an exclusive platform for DPA members. For questions, contact us at admin@defensepoliticsasia.com.

2. Information We Collect

When you log in via Patreon, we receive from Patreon:

Your Patreon user ID
Your email address
Your display name
Your membership tier

When you log in via YouTube Membership (Google), we receive from Google and YouTube:

Your Google account ID (sub)
Your email address
Your display name
Your YouTube channel ID (used to verify active membership)
Your YouTube membership tier on DPA channels

We do not receive your Google password, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

To verify you are an active Patreon or YouTube member at the required tier
To create and maintain a session granting you access to DPA Intel
To display your name within the platform

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond access verification.

4. Data Storage

Session data (user ID, email, display name, tier) is stored in a secure database (Supabase) hosted in the United States. Sessions expire automatically. We do not store your Google or Patreon password at any point.

5. YouTube API Services

DPA Intel uses the YouTube Data API to verify your membership status on DPA's YouTube channels. By using the YouTube Membership login, you also agree to Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

We use YouTube API Services solely to check whether your YouTube channel holds an active Officer or General membership on a DPA channel. We do not read your videos, watch history, subscriptions, or any other YouTube data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law or to operate the platform (e.g. our database host).

7. Data Retention

Session records are retained while your membership is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at admin@defensepoliticsasia.com.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above.

9. Cookies

DPA Intel uses a single session cookie (dpa_session) to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
